Lodge or Risk a Surprise Audit: Building and Construction Long Service Leave

A reminder to business owners in the Building & Construction industries to comply with the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986 (the Act) which provides a portable long service entitlement to workers who have performed work in the NSW building and construction industry for ten (10) years, regardless of whether they have worked for multiple employers or as a contractor.

Failure to lodge by the deadline of 31 July each year, may result in your business receiving a letter from the NSW Long Service Leave Corporation, warning that an on-site audit may be conducted without notice.
