02 9683 5999From October 2010, super funds which have lost member account balances of less than $200 will transfer the funds to the Australian Taxation Office, rather than holding the funds indefinitely. The ATO will hold the funds until a claim is made by the respective individual to have the funds transferred to their preferred superannuation provider.
If you suspect that you have any lost superannuation, the ATO has a SuperSeeker tool which allows any individual to search the ATO register of lost members. This tool can be accessed at www.ato.gov.au/superseeker
